Hey there! My name is Aberdeen, and I’m so glad you’re here! I’m a poet, bookworm, and collector of quotes. I’m one whom Jesus loves (and so are you). For you personality geeks, I’m an INFJ in the Myers Briggs system and 1w2 in the Enneagram. I am a homeschool alum, military kid, and unexpected advocate of quiet gap years. Unexplained arm pain tossed my post-high-school plans out the window and continues to teach me to throw myself into the wave and embrace the adventure (and my limitations). Now I’m studying religion and theology at The King’s College in New York City and still floored that this dream came true.
I overanalyze almost everything (or is it actually everything?) and all my blog readers can tell you I’m way too wordy. In an effort to combat that, I’ll end this introduction here:
I believe in the power of words and the power of love. I believe that the dark will never overcome the light and that this isn’t the end.

By day the Lord directs his love, at night his song is with me—a prayer to the God of my life.
