I haven’t done a tag post in forever, so let’s remedy that with two of them today! I’m hoping to do a third one (want to know what I’d do with a million dollars?) soon as well, but I didn’t want to overwhelm you guys with three tags in one post. 😉
Before I start, however, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who’s tagged me for things. It makes my heart happy when I see my name at the bottom of someone’s tag/award post. Even though I don’t always get around to doing them myself, a sincere thank you for the nominations.
{Describe Me Challenge}
The lovely Lalaithiel tagged me; thanks so much, dear! (Check out her amazing NaPoWriMo poetry, guys.) The rules are:
Thank the blogger that nominated you (cha-ching)
Choose one song that describes your music taste
Choose one outfit that describes your fashion taste
Choose one meal (including a drink) that describes your taste for food
Choose one book that describes you / changed your life
Choose one quote that describes what you want for your life
Tag five people
{song}
This is probably the toughest out of all these, because my music tastes are so eclectic. I’m going with Sound of Silence by Celtic Thunder because the music makes me so happy, and the words are representative of what kind of lyrics I like: thought-provoking.
{outfit}
I’m really born in the wrong era because I love dresses and cloaks and fancy stuff. But since I’m here in the twenty-first century, I primarily wear flared jeans and cute sweatshirts or sweaters or t-shirts. As for shoes, I like Vans, flats, and flip-flops (totally the best part about summer).
{meal}
Food. Oh, food. Sometimes it’s just a pain, sometimes I love it. Crepes, though. Nutella crepes. Those could totally be a meal. With milk, I guess?

{book}
Oh my goodness. So many come to mind. But one that describes me is totally Miss Rumphius. It’s a kid’s book that really did change my life, because it inspired me to be like Miss Rumphius, who had three goals in life: to travel to faraway places, live in a cottage by the sea, and do something to make the world more beautiful.
So me.
{quote}
Speaking Truth in times of universal deceit is a revolutionary act.
{George Orwell}
On the final die I die / I want to hold my head up high / I want to tell You that I tried / To live it like a song

{Infinity Dreams Tag}

Many thanks to Abi at The Left-Handed Typist (is that not an amazing blog name?) for tagging me! I loved her questions and couldn’t wait to answer them. Here’s how this one works:
- I named my new iPad Lilac. (Yes, I name inanimate objects. It makes life so much more interesting and wonderful.)
- I teach swim lessons. It’s mostly fun (and I get paid, so that’s always nice), but it’s also draining for introverted me. And the water is way too cold for basically standing still for an hour with four-year-olds.
- I like fonts and typography.
- Which means I like this joke:“Wow, you always have so many fonts, where do you get them from?”
“Oh they come from Monaco, Geneva, Chicago, New York… I get them delivered at various Times throughout the day…”
“By who?”
“A Courier!” (found in the depths of the internet somewhere) - Numbers, letters, days, and months have colors and genders for me. For instance, three is yellow and a girl.
- TV shows I like are Robin Hood (BBC), Sherlock (BBC), Foyle’s War, and The Flash.
- I am Team Cap.
- I haven’t read Harry Potter, but according to quizzes and research I’d be in Ravenclaw.
- I feel like I used the fact above in another tag. Oh, well.
- I’ve been taking Latin for about eight years now, and I absolutely love it.
- Three things on my bucketlist-that-needs-to-be-updated are: 1) see an aurora; 2) learn sign language; 3) work in an orphangage.
{the questions}
- What’s your favorite way to communicate with friends if you can’t be together in person (phone, Skype, email, snail mail, etc.)?
- What is something that surprised you about blogging?
- What is your least favorite time of day and why?
- Who are some historical heroes of yours?
- What’s a song that describes your life right now?
- What YouTube channels do you follow (if any)?
- What are three things on your bucket list? If you don’t have one, what are three random dreams or goals of yours?
- How do you act when you’re extremely happy about something?
- What do you want people around you to do when you’re really upset about something?
- What is one pro and one con of your place in the family (oldest child, youngest, middle, only)?
- What is one thing you want your future self to remember?
(I actually like these questions. Yay.)
{nominations & celebrations}
I feel like I tag the same people over and over again, and I lose track of who has already been tagged. So: if either of these looks interesting, grab it and link back to me!
I also want to do something a little different and fun: In the comments, anyone can answer some or all of my questions at the end. I’d really love to see your answers and chat with you about them.
Oh! And one more thing: This is my 200th post! *cue cheering and confetti* I probably should have done something special for it, but we can celebrate anyway. Thank you all for reading, commenting, liking, for encouraging and challenging me, for giving me the motivation to keep blogging. I honestly wouldn’t do it without you. Best readers ever. I mean it.
