Stanzas alternating between Anakin’s and Obi-Wan’s perspectives, repsectively. Inspired by reading and then watching The Revenge of the Sith. Title inspired by Anakin’s line: “From my point of view, the Jedi are evil!”

April 13, 2015 ~ From My Point of View

You turned her against me. 

You fed lies into her mind. 

You took away my beloved.

You slowly turned her blind.

~ 

You pushed her from you. 

You lived a lie with every word. 

You destroyed your beloved. 

You left with her pleas unheard. 

~ 

You are deluded and confused. 

You are the ruin of us all. 

You set me against my friend. 

You are the cause of freedom’s fall. 

~ 

You have been horribly lied to.

You have chosen to trust the dark.

You were deceived by your friend;

You fed the monster in your heart. 

~ 

I am powerful beyond belief, 

I am but a shadow of my youth. 

I am lord, proud ruler, satisfied. 

I am empty as I trade lies for truth.

I am nameless, scorned, unknown. 

I am nothing like what I used to be.

I am humble, poor, surrounded by sand. 

I am protecting a boy who will set me free.

I am beyond hope, utterly lost. 

I am unlovable, traitor to my friends.

I am broken, dying, but finally free.

I am saved at last, with my son at the end.

I am facing my death with no way to win. 

I love my foe like I do no other.

I am saving him even as I die. 

I am reunited with my brother.
