Seascape

Yes, yes, I know, it’s February, and usually people don’t write about the ocean in this month.  But I love the ocean, and any month is the perfect time to write about it for me.

wind tossing waves into the waiting sky

sea foam glancing off the stars

ocean mist in the heavens

sand sitting silent, resting from the journey

waiting to be picked up, tossed back,

dreaming of being dashed upon distant shores

the thrum of life, the pulse of breath

woven through the whisper of the waves,

stringing the sand along its story

let me dance with you, waves,

and take flight into the heavens

let me rest with you, sand,

and witness the tides of the world

let me touch the heart of the universe

and hear the song of the spheres

catch me into your embrace

and never

let

go
