Hello, all!   Sarah at Light and Shadows nominated me for the Liebster Award!  Thank you so much, Sarah!

Here’s how this one works:

3. Write 11 facts about yourself

So, the facts: 

1. My spellcheck keeps turning Liebster into Lobster.

2. The movie I have watched most is Facing the Giants.

3. I am the Myers-Briggs type INFJ.

4. My least favorite football player is Tom Brady.

5. My favorite is Drew Brees.

6. I am wondering if four and five count as facts.  I mean, “favorite” is a matter of opinion, but it is a fact that those are my opinions, right?

7. I won a one hundred dollar bill in an essay contest once.

8. I’ve been in eight plays.

9. I’m sitting in a room with three windows.

10. I’m typing on a computer.

11. I am finding thinking of facts harder than expected.

Okay, now for Sarah’s questions: 

1. Is there a song you’re obsessed with right now? If so, what is it?

Recently, I’ve been really into Andrew Peterson’s stuff and one of my current favorites is “Come Back Soon”.  I went to sleep last night with it running through my mind. 

2. What would your dream house look like?

Okay, ready for a long answer?  I have quite varied tastes when it comes to decor, so I’d love a house with many rooms, each very different in style.  For instance, I want there to be one that’s totally wood, as if carved out of a huge tree—kind of like the elves’ living houses in Du Weldenvarden in Eragon.  Then I’d want a cozy, windowless reading nook, a huge, tall, spacious room with only white decorations, and so on.  All of these rooms would form a sort of moon-shaped semicircle, and in the center would be a big courtyard thing with a garden.  Oh, and all the outer rooms with have a balcony. 

3. Where would it be located?

On a mountain overlooking the sea (almost like the Igiby’s house in Glipfeather, just closer to the ocean).  

4. Have you ever read Howl’s Moving Castle?

Nopety-nope. 

5. What are you reading right now? (Or, if you’re not reading anything right now, what’s the next thing you plan on reading?)

*points to The Bookshelf widget*  I am reading Sanderson’s Hero of Ages (for the second time), Tolkien’s The Fellowship of the Ring (for the second time), and Kate Seredy’s Good Master.  Oh, and Dicken’s A Tale of Two Cities (for the second time) for school.  Wow, I didn’t realize that so much of what I’m reading are rereads. 

6. What’s one book that you think EVERYONE should read? (Other than the Bible, of course.)

Wow, this is really hard.  There are so many books I’d love to recommend, but to find one that’s applicable to everyone, well, that’s harder.  I’d pick Alex and Brett Harris’ Do Hard Things.  Sure, it’s written for teenagers, but people of every age can benefit from it.  Every time I reread it, I learn something new and am challenged and inspired.   Go read it, people. 

7. Do you prefer headphones or earbuds?

I don’t really use either, actually.  I am old-fashioned and rely on my CD player for music. 

8. What kind of headphones/earbuds do you have?

I don’t have any. 

9. What’s one quote you really want to find an excuse to use in conversation?

A thousand quotes just popped into my mind.  Maybe “I am burdened with a glorious purpose”—NOT that I am a Loki fangirl, but it’s just so dramatic.  “There is always another secret” and “Then it is better to die” from Mistborn would be great as well.  I really want to quote Oskar Reteep sometime, too, just to see people’s reactions.  

10. How do you express excitement?

Depends who I’m with and how excited I am.  If I’m with people I feel comfortable with, I’ll squeal, jump and down, that sort of thing.  If I’m with people I’m not as close to, I just take a deep breath, my eyes get big, and I say something like, “Ooh, cool!”.  If it’s a super big deal, I’m actually calmer than if it’s not as exciting.  I get really quiet, clap my hands over my mouth, and just stare wide-eyed at whoever told me the exciting news.  

11. Are you glad to be done with these questions?

Actually, no.  I love answering questions.
