Well, friends, the end draws near, and there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. There’s four days left and 4K to go, and I’m hoping to finish in one giant push today. We’ll see. My plot is far from over — well, to be fair, I’m definitely approaching the end, but there’s no way I’ll be able to bring everything to a close before 50K. Once I reach that goal, I’ll keep writing till the end of November, and if I’m still not finished, well, here’s to a productive Christmas break!
I killed a character yesterday. It wasn’t in the original outline at all, but I have since discovered that this unfortunate action is necessary. I got through the emotional scene where my main character is told of this death, and now she’s making some important discoveries. *rubs hands together gleefully* While I’m certainly enjoying all this, I’m looking forward to the end. I feel like each day it gets harder to get going, and my poor brain-keeper is in desperate need of a nice, long nap.
