A Glimpse of Starlight

As you start this week, and not an ounce of motivation to work hard exists in your heart, remember:

If you have a job without aggravation, you don’t have a job. 

When the mundane is smothering, and you yearn for adventure, know this:

Be great in the little things.

When the littlest things are the hardest things, and you wonder why be faithful when no one sees:

Character is what you are in the dark. 

When your dreams lie around you like shattered glass, be comforted:

Could it be that He is only waiting there to see / If I will learn to love the dreams that He has dreamed for me

When you obey Him, it opens the door to your unspoken dream 

When the clanging of the chaos of life is that all fills your ears, pause:

Get into the habit of saying, “Speak, Lord,” and life will become a romance. 

When trials loom over your path, rest in this:

When you come to the end of all the light you know, and it’s time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things will happen: Either you will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly. 

Great faith is the product of great fights.  Great testimonies are the outcome of great tests.  Great triumphs can only come out of great trials. 

When life’s craziness tempts you to discount beauty and lose your sense of wonder, never forget:

“The beauitful is as useful as the useful.” Then, after a pause, he added: “More so, perhaps.” 

“It is only when we have grown too old that we fail to see that the Maker’s world is swollen with magic—  it hides in plain sight in music and water and even bumblebees.” 

When fear strangles, be calm:

Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.

And I’ll leave you with a little quip to brighten your day:
