The Love of Books

I love books.  I love poetry.   What could be better than combining them?  I hope you enjoy reading this collection of book-related haikus as much as I enjoyed writing them!

Words strung together,

Weaving an ink tapestry

I drink in the sight

 ~

A rainbow forest

Trees that grow stories, not leaves —

My gleaming bookshelf

~

Light sprawls across words

That have waited through the night

Day dawns —  time to read

~

My heart starts to dance

New adventures await me

The book cracks open

~

Tears spill down my cheeks

My aching heart gropes, searches

I find peace in books

~

Hobbits in the house

Castles appear by the couch

The magic of books

  1. I love all of these! You did a wonderful job capturing different, unique elements of the same topic. #3 and #5 are probably my favorites, but all of them are great and relatable. *applauds*

  2. I love the simplicity yet power of haikus. They are just like a thought process: simple, choppy, but they mean so much to those who understand them. ❤

    1. Your description of haikus is perfect, Victoria. I never thought of them like a thought process, but now that you mentioned it, I can totally see that.
